If you are staying in Thailand and you get tested positive for Covid-19 authorities will pick you up and put you for at least 14 days into hospital. You are allowed to leave after 2 weeks once you get tested negative twice. Since hospital beds are limited in Thailand and infections are rising only this week with thousands of infected people the government started to set up „field hospitals“ in exhibition halls where you are being hospitalized with hundreds of covid-19-patients in one big hall.
Once again: this is mandatory and being enforced, you have NO CHOICE to self-quarantine or reject that treatment. And of course you need to pay for that – let’s hope you have an insurance that covers the cost.
