Covid-19 returns to Thailand: All entertainment venues in 41 provinces closed

The government has closed all entertainment venues in 41 provinces for 14 days from Saturday April 10th on.


The state Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced on Friday morning that pubs, bars, nightclubs and karaoke clubs as well as gogo bars will remain closed until at least April 23rd – most likely longer if the Covid-19 situation won’t improve. The past days almost 1000 new cases per day have been reported for Thailand. Most coming from Bangkok and Chiang Mai.


The list of provinces that need to shut down all entertainment venues are: Bangkok, Pathum Thani, Nonthaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Prakan, Samut Songkhram, Samut Sakhon, Ayutthaya, Saraburi, Lopburi, Nakhon Nayok, Chonburi, Rayong, Chanthaburi, Prachinburi, Chachoengsao, Sa Kaeo, Suphanburi Ratchaburi, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Phetchaburi, Ranong, Chumphon, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phuket, Surat Thani, Songkhla, Yala, Narathiwat, Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Chaiyaphum, Udon Thani, Buriram, Loei, Chiang Mai, Lampang, Rai, Tak and Phetchabun.
