Bad news for everyone planning to come to Thailand. Even the current 3rd Covid-19 wave is not connected to people completing the ASQ stay (quarantine) in Thailand: from May 1, 2021 on the quarantine period is again extended to 15 nights / 16 days same as before. Previously it was vaccinated visitors allowed to quarantine for 7 days and all other visitors were allowed to quarantine for 10 days. That’s history from May 1 on.
To make things even more worse:
- All ASQ guests need to do 3 Corona tests insteaf of 2 (no big deal)
- The room won’t be cleaned anymore
- The ASQ quests in Thailand are no longer allowed to leave the room!
The last point is the heaviest one – being forced to stay inside a small hotel room for 16 days / 15 nights is a tough challenge!
